Lime Green and Purple Flowers

I love a lime green and purple color combination for wedding flowers. I think this look could lend itself beautifully to a spring or summer wedding in Colorado Springs.

Renae, my bride, chose a bouquet of green cymbidium orchids, purple dianthus, Maine blue linonium, seeded eucalyptis, white hydrangea and green misty for her bridal bouquet.

Her bridesmaids’ bouquets use green hydrangea, with eggplant purple dianthus, Maine blue linonium, seeded eucalyptus, and Kermit mums.

I’m finding that many of my brides prefer not to have a bow on their bouquets, which is a more tailored and contemporary look.

Theses centerpieces looked fantastic on the tables surrounded by three votive candles with white linens and eggplant purple napkins. I hope these pictures have given you some good ideas on the use of purple flowers for a spring wedding in Colorado Springs.

Holiday Wedding in Colorado Springs

Christmas in 2011 was indeed white for Colroado Springs, Colorado! Here are some pictures of Winter in Cheyenne Canyon.

Holidays weddings always look great in gold and red. If you want your winter wedding to consist of red and green but not look too much like a Christmas tree, try the color combo my bride and I came up with. I hope you enjoy these pictures of my last wedding of 2011 which was held on New Years Eve. I think this color pallet of red, gold, and black is perfect for both a wedding and an end-of -year celebration.

I hope you enjoy viewing these pictures from my 2011 weddings. It’s fun for me to go back and review my past work. I had forgotten how busy I was and how unique and individual each of my brides were.

Ambience Florals Bridal Bouquets in 2011

It does not seem possible that it is almost 2012. Before the new year begins I thought you might enjoy viewing a few of 2011 bouquets and beautiful brides.

Shove’s Chapel Wedding Decoration

Shove’s Chapel in Colorado Springs is a beautiful and impressive site for a wedding. However, it presents one major obstacle: lighting. The church has a policy that states that the chapel can only be lit with natural light. The alter area is lit beautifully, but as you can imagine, the aisle gets very dark.

By placing candles in glass hurricanes, I was able to create some dramatic natural lighting for this wedding. When the candlelight reflected on the glass and the stone floor, it created a most romantic effect. The candlelight almost invited the guests to walk down the aisle to be seated.

Mary selected a bouquet that featured flowers that had been in her mother’s wedding bouquet and the groom’s mother’s bridal bouquet, making her bouquet all the more sentimental. I think it is always a good idea for the bride to personalize her flowers. This bridal bouquet featured white peony, gardenias, ivory roses, wheat, and dusty miller.
